I have the last save on Suikoden and since my Suikoden II is scratched pretty bad, I had to make an ISO to play on epsxe. The game runs fine but it doesn't read my Suikoden save, but when I was able to do it through my Playstation it would read. By the way, I'm using the North American version for both games. EDIT: I just extracted the lone Suikoden save off my memory card instead of my entire card and I tried again. I tried card 1 with no luck, then card 2 with again no luck. I went back to card 1 and my save was there.
I don't know what happened but I proved that it can be transferred. Hmm, this can be funny but. A friend of mine had exactly the same problem using epsxe 1.7 ( bios scph1001) when he tried to load the saved state ( he had US version of both Suikodens). In suikoden II, when the first screen appears ( NEW GAME and Continue ) choose New Game and the game will ask you if You want to load saved data from Suikoden 1, and if You have the proper versions of both games ( check it using daemon tools ) it should be okay. I know it sounds pathetic, but a lot of people complained about that, beacuse they tried to load the game in the first screen and got this 'no suikoden data detected' message.
With the PS1, Suikoden 2 benefits from transfering over the save file from the first game. Using the eboots on PSP, is there a way to do this?.Basically, I'm just trying to figure out a good way to get a Suikoden 1 save file to the right format and location to work with Suikoden 2, and I'm not sure the best way to go about it. I see some saves out there in DexDrive.gme format, if there's a way to convert that over and import it into the Suikoden 2 save data.
Any help is greatly welcomed. Solution: For future reference, in case anyone else wants to import a PS1 Suikoden I save to be used with the Suikoden II eboot on PSP, here's what I did. 1) I ended up using, which is in the DexDrive.gme format. 2) Then, using, I opened that save file and saved it as SLUS00292-0.mcr to convert it to the ePSXe save format with the game's title id. 3) Then I put the CWCheat plugin onto the PSP memory card, created a folder in the cwcheat directory called mc (ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/mc), and placed the.mcr save file into the mc directory. 4) I loaded up Suikoden I, held select to bring up the CWCheat menu, and opened the memory manager. There, you can load the.mcr save file.
Make sure it says 'ok'. If not, you probably named the file wrong. I started up Suikoden I using that save file, saved the game normally to save it in the PSP.vmp save format and exited the game. 5) Then, I opened Suikoden II. Using 's information below, I pressed the PS home button within Suikoden II, opened memory card utility, import, select the Suikoden file that visually shows it has save data.
Start a new game, name your character, select yes to use Suikoden I save file. And it works! It's been a while since I did this, and I'd say my aim was a pretty specific, and more complicated process than would be necessary for just converting and loading a save, without transfeing it to another game. I don't believe it's necessary to play and save a game before, in order to load the save file with CWcheat. As I recall, I ran into a bit of trouble, just making sure the.mcr save file had the proper name and formatted correctly, based on the game's title id, which in my case, for Suikoden (SLUS00292), the save file was SLUS00292-0. It'd be different for each game, but the format, with REGIONTITLE#-SAVE#, would apply generally.
I only did this the one time, when I wrote this down, but, I remember the save loading up just fine with CWCheat once I got the naming convention right. Then I saved the game normally in game to create a regular save file.
Hello, I saw an old thread where a a guy posted his Suikoden 2 save data which he played on ePSXe emulator and had the save data converted into another type of file that could be used in Suikoden 3 on PCSX2. What I am looking for is someone that can do the exact same thing for me because I tried my hardest for like 5+ hours and I just can't seem to figure it out.

Here is my memory card, if anyone chooses to help me please use the game save with the longest time played. Attached Files (Size: 10,2 KB / Downloads: 1.839). I think some time ago.mcr support was implemented, so in latest svn you could just convert your ps1 memory card from whatever format you had it in to.mcr to make it readable and then it should be enough to copy save from ps1 to ps2 memory card in bios because this game seeks ps1 save on ps2 memcard. Earlier we just were dumping ps1 save and building a ps2 one from it which would work on all pcsx2 versions, but I don't remember the details today. Guides for it should be all around the net anyway, just use google and you'll find a few results on this and other forums easily and even based on this game since it was one of the few games people needed to do this for.;p. (, 10:15 PM)tadatada Wrote: I have simply tried rename the 'epsxe000.mcr' to 'Mcd001.ps2' on memcards folder.
It seems recognized it as a PSX format. (Show posted images) I don't have the Suikoden, so can not go any further. Is this what you want to know? Your method does work, rename the epsxe000.mcr to Mcd001.ps2 and it does read on the PS2 Bios Memcard Manager and reads it as a PS1 memcard as well. When i remade a new PS2 memcard under the config on PCSX2 emu i booted into the PS2 Bios Menu and went into the memcard browser and found both cards PS2 and PS1 and formatted the PS2 card, after that i copied my Suikoden 2 Data from the PS1 card to the PS2 card and booted Suikoden 3 and in fact confirm that when it asked if i wanted to load my Suikoden 2 data and i said yes and selected the memcard slot 1 where the data is, it found it sure enough so i know this method i just did is how he would have to do it without any other utilitys haha.

Currently, there are save files for both the North American and European versions of Suikoden III available on the PlayStation Network. They are PS2 Virtual Memory Cards containing Suikoden II data, embedded within Suikoden III's Saved Data Utility, which the PS3 accesses for PS2 Classic saved games, rather than the normal Virtual Memory Card system. Load it and play on! It won’t damage your PS3 to try. If it fails, just delete the saved data in the Saved Data Utility (PS2) section and start your game again. As importing overwrites your old saves, if you have made progress in Suikoden III you want to keep, make a back up first and import that back in with the steps above if you don’t want to keep this file. When the backwards-compatible PlayStation 3 was released in 2006, Virtual Memory Cards were created to store save files from backwards-compatible PS1 and PS2 discs. However, there was no provision for transferring data from a PS1 Virtual Memory Card to a PS2 Virtual Memory Card as Suikoden III was the only game to take advantage of such a feature. There were ways around this, with it being possible, with the right accessories, to move a Virtual Memory Card save of Suikoden II to a physical PlayStation 2 Memory Card, starting a new game of Suikoden III on a physical PS2, saving it on the physical PS2 Memory Card and transferring that Suikoden III save, with uploaded data, back to the PlayStation 2 Virtual Memory Card on the PlayStation 3 and playing on from there with a physical Suikoden III disc.
However, this unwieldy method does not work with the PS2 Classics version of Suikoden III as it does not access the PlayStation or PS2 Virtual Memory Cards at all. Instead, PS2 Classic titles have their own Virtual Memory Cards embedded within their individual Saved Data Utility (PS2) file, accessible only by that game. Because of this, no other save file, from Suikoden II or Suikoden III, can be added to the PS2 Classic's memory normally through the PlayStation 3's XMB.
With the use of a selection of programs, however, a 'perfect run' of Suikoden II, with another 'perfect run' of the first Suikoden uploaded to it, has been extracted, decoded, converted into a PS2 recognisable format and inserted into Suikoden III's Saved Data Utility (PS2) file, allowing players to choose this file when asked to import a Suikoden II save.
Q: I have both games on my PS3, can I load my save data into Suikoden II from Suikoden? The system works almost exactly like it does on the PS1.
The virtual memory cards can be accessed and created on the XMB main menu, and in-game it will function the same. Q: I have both games on my Vita, how can I load the save data into Suikoden II?
A: This is reasonably easy. But, you do have to jump through some more hoops to get it to work. When a PSone classic is downloaded, the Vita automatically creates two memory cards for it and it alone.
So, we have to do some save-shuffling and copying. Once you have the save data from Gregminster, and have finished the game, start up Suikoden II. When the game starts, hold down the PS button to reach the menu and select 'Settings.' . Select 'Memory Card Utility.' .
Select 'Import.' . This displays Suikoden II's two memory cards. Hit the left or right arrows to scroll through memory cards for other PSone Classics already on your Vita, and you should see Suikoden come up. With Suikoden's memory card containing the end-game Gregminster file selected, you can copy over the whole card containing all your files by selecting it and using the chevron. Now, Suikoden II (card 1) will be a copy of the Suikoden card.
So expecting random people to know about it is probably a bit of a stretch. Ps2 hard drive mod. But on the bright side at least you found the answers and posted them back here to enlighten everyone.
Return to the game, and load the save file when prompted after you enter the hero's name. Q: I have one game on Vita, and another on my PS3. How can I transfer the data? A: This is easy. Start up both systems and either connect them via USB, or via WiFi. You will need to 'pair' your Vita with your PS3.
For more info, see PlayStation's walkthrough: Once you have paired the two systems, here is how to move the save files from your PS3 to your Vita:. On the Vita's main menu, start the Content Manager. Select 'Copy Content.' . If you are connected via USB or WiFi, the two will connect. Select 'Copy Content: PS3 Vita'. Select 'Applications.'
. Then 'Saved Data: PlayStation.' .
Select 'Internal Memory Card (PSX).' Note that there could be any number of these, as this is a representation of all the Virtual Memory Cards on the PS3. You might have to sift through them manually to find the individual files. When you find the file you want, select it. Then, select 'Copy.' . This screen lists all the Virtual memory cards on the Vita, two for each PSone Classic.
Select either Suikoden II (1) or Suikoden II (2). Then hit 'OK.' . Start up Suikoden II and it should work like exactly like the PSX once you are in-game. Once you have paired the two systems, here is how to move the save files from your Vita to PS3:. After Step 3 above, Select 'Copy Content: Vita PS3.'
. Select 'Applications.' . Select 'Saved Data: PlayStation.' .
Scroll through the long list of memory cards for all your PSone Classics until you find the file you want to transfer. Select 'Copy.' . This displays all the PS3's Virtual Memory Cards. Select one of them, and then 'OK.' . The data should now be transferred to the PS3.

Q: I have one game in Digital Format on the PSN, and another in Physical that I play on my PS1/PS2. How can I load those? A: You will have to buy a Sony Memory Card Adapter for PS3.
Psx Suikoden 1 Save Data For Suikoden 2
This is a specialized tool that allows the PS1 and PS2 'Magic Gate' memory cards to plug into the PS3 via its USB port. I got mine for about $25 USD at a local game shop, but there are third-party units that might be a bit cheaper. This is the only way that I know of to transfer files from older memory cards to the PS3. As far as I know, there is no way to transfer files between the PS Vita and older memory cards. Q: I wish to load my PSN Suikoden II's data onto my Physical copy of Suikoden III (PS2).
How can I do that? A: See the above answer, though it works in reverse order.
